I know the pictured post was shared with me in jest, but I was tagged in it twice over the weekend and it definitely has a little truth to it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Because there alllllllways just seems to be something, right?
And for me it reiterates the point that we should be building our nutrition (and training etc) around our lives... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I mean, unless we’re content with the yo-yo-ing and eternal frustration of taking 1 step forward and 1 step back 🤨 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
... Thought not. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We shouldn’t feel the need to ‘cheat’ on our diets.
Or be either ON or OFF the wagon. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The idea is to have something in place that gives us both a set of clear and straightforward guidelines to follow and also the flexibility to be able to enjoy what life has to offer.
I’m a big believer in not always having to go at the same speed...
Sometimes it’s cool to push the pace a little and others it may be OK to chill. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But if you’re getting stuck because every time you seem to gain some momentum the next fun thing comes along and smacks you off course it might be time to change your approach (for good).

1 glass of water.
1 homemade lunch.
1 short walk.
1 less Netflix episode.

Because when it comes to making changes, most people either get over excited or overwhelmed. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They take too much on, making it hard to sustain...
Or just the thought of having to make changes gets the better of them and they don’t know where to start or simply don’t bother. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Break it down. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Start with 1 thing. Repeat that thing. Then, when you feel you can- add to that thing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
